Meeting notes:Harris and Jim read to 90 kindergarten students at North Fort Myers Academy on Monday as part of this year's "Reading Rocks!" program. Copies of the the book read ("Frozen II: Ana, Elsa and the Frozen River") were given to each student to keep. Kathy, John,Lindsey, Chuck and Harris will attend the Division Council Meeting on February 19th at E.C.H.O. Farms. John announced that Charlie Stiles' wife is asking friends of the recently deceased former member of our club who want to honor him to make donations to our club's Foundation Kathy has appied for a permit to allow a food truck on our club building site for the Edison Pageant of Light Parade The club voted to have John apply and pay for an occupational license for our Kiwanis Hall on Victoria Avenue so that we can get the water turned on, with the goal of holding our weekly meetings there by April. John, Chuck and Harris committed to participating at the "Read Across America" event at North Fort Myers Academy on March 2nd. Club members voted to begin having speakers at our weekly meeting once again. Harris will start scheduling some. |
